A Karger 'Publishing Highlights 1890–2015' title In the preface to this third, enlarged and completely revised edition of of his concise textbook on pediatrics for practicioners and students, Seitz mentions that in the past decades (Karger published the first edition in 1894) great progress had been made in the field, which in turn led to a 'broader interest amongst doctors for this special field which previously received only little attention' but which has since been added to the medical curriculum. Clearly, pediatrics have been a strong Karger interest from the very beginning – of both the publishing house and the speciality. (German publication)
