----- 原虫生物学与保护
Many of the best-known workers in the field have contributed to this volume which presents the most extensive review concerning research on the prosimian primates in the last two decades. More important, it contains several presentations by participants from habitat countries. This publication provides both essential data and new perspectives on the biology, conservation and management of the prosimian primates. It includes papers on such diverse topics as behaviour, biomechanics, conservation, ecology and reproduction. Among the many important reports are studies which apply highly topical genetic techniques to the conservation of the Malagasy lemurs, as well as the most extensive review of the evolution of the lorisiforms yet published. It also includes reviews of the Eocene and Oligocene prosimians and contributions on the pattern and modality of speciation in mainland African and Malagasy prosimians. This publication will be essential reading for all primate biologists. However, it will also be an invaluable reference for comparative anatomists, zoologists, paleontologists and curators or keepers of mammals.
