Infliximab is an established therapy for some autoimmune diseases like rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn's disease, ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis, plaque psoriasis and ulcerative colitis. In this book, the authors present current research in the study of the pharmacology, uses and limitations of infliximab. Topics discussed include the risk of infection in patients treated with infliximab; the efficacy and safety of infliximab during pregnancy and breastfeeding in women with inflammatory bowel disease; and disease activity, treatment response and drug continuation rates among patients with rheumatoid arthritis treated with infliximab.
