CASE STUDIES FOR MEDICAL ASSISTING provides scripted scenarios specifically created to enrich the classroom experience. Instructors can create entire lessons through the hands-on application of all medical assisting skills, and not just in the perfect "textbook" setting. Students will apply critical thinking while working through the scenarios, and will need to react calmly, thoroughly, and rationally to both routine and unexpected situations. CASE STUDIES FOR MEDICAL ASSISTING provides students the opportunity to gain all the administrative and clinical skills needed for the job, covering all competencies designated by ABHES and CAAHEP. Additionally, students will learn the professional behaviors—teamwork, leadership, and work ethic—needed to be a successful medical assistant. The accompanying Instructor's Manual provides a variety ways to incorporate the case studies approach in the classroom, from augmenting a classroom topic to a complete medical assisting educational experience.
