----- Ammianus”朱利安:一切有关情况的叙事和流派
Offers a major reinterpretation of Ammianus' Res Gestae, drawing on detailed analysis of his depiction of several key events in Julian's reign. Throws new light on the study of intertextuality and narratology in historiography which will be of benefit to analysis of all ancient historiographical texts. Re-assesses Ammianus' relationship with contemporary 'Julianic' literature, situating him more clearly within a fourth-century literary milieu.
