Extremely out of date. Advocates a measurement system that did not stand the test of time, and is no longer used. A waste of time except for historians of astronomical thought who are interested in ideas that fell by the wayside.

Esxcellent review of the subject matter and well written and well translated.

Really couldn't believe that this book was written about a century ago. These are great lectures that help generate a lot of interest in the subject. If you are a student of astronomy, you must read this once. Highly recommended. Even if you are a wee bit interested in Astronomy this is a must read. Very interesting, engaging and informative.
