----- 阿拉伯起义的微观基础
Examines the micro-foundations of the arab spring. This book develops a strategic interactionist perspective (also known as players-and-arenas) for the study of contentious politics in the middle east in the aftermath of the arab uprisings. While mainstream approaches to contentious politics have already been used in the middle eastern context, more agent-centric and less structural perspectives remain underutilized. The common thread among the contributions is an interest in the interactions between various strategic players, especially regime responses and the mobilization of protestors during the uprisings. We examine both the short to medium-term adaptations of the regimes to the new forms of social mobilization and the collective action of opponents in the uprisings and post-uprisings period, as well as the trajectories of the protesters themselves in the face of new forms of authoritarianism or democratization.
