Mechatronics is a new field of science and technology dedicated to the creation and operation of computer-controlled machines and systems, based on knowledge of mechanics, electronics and electronic microprocessor technology, IT and computer control of aggregate motion. Embedded mechatronic elements are selected by the manufacturer at the design stage of the machine, this is the radical difference between mechatronic machines and traditional ones. Therefore, many sophisticated complexes shows in practice low reliability and low technical and economic efficiency. The methodological basis for the development of MS is the use of parallel design methods. In the traditional design of computer-controlled machines, the mechanical, electronic, sensors and computer components of the system are sequentially developed, and then the choice of interface blocks is made. The paradigm of parallel design is the simultaneous and interconnected synthesis of all components of the system. The main approaches in the study of mechatronics are mechatronic modules that perform motions in controllable coordinates. Such modules, like functional cubes, compile complex systems with a new modular architecture.
