----- 柏林街头音乐:在生活的艺术与生存的斗争之间. 音乐民族学实地研究
Who plays street music in Berlin and why? Mark Nowakowski provides a detailed portrait of street music in Berlin and of its protagonists, and in doing so, provides the first systematic investigation of this urban performance culture in Germany. In addition to the motives of the artists, he analyzes the role of the public and urban space as the context in which street music occurs, but also socio-cultural dimensions and historical processes of change. The study provides multifaceted information about the phenomenon of street music and represents a contribution to the description of the cultural life of Berlin and the musical identity of the city, whose profile is in no small part formed by street music as a performing culture with a strong everyday presence and great diversity of forms. With a foreword by Klaus dem Geiger.
