----- 淋巴细胞功能中的离子通道
Only in the last decade have novel biophysical and genetic techniques been developed which have allowed research in electrically nonexcitable cells. This volume provides an exhaustive overview of ion channels and their functions in lymphocytes, including cytokine release and secretion, proliferation, lymphocyte activation, cell growth, volume regulation, adhesion, migration and apoptosis. Complex mechanisms involving specific K+, Ca2+ and Cl- channels are characterized by various techniques ranging from patch-clamp studies to molecular methods; some have even been cloned and studied in detail. Ion channels represent a relatively easy target for pharmaceutical compounds. The study of ion channels in the immune system, together with second messenger systems and mechanisms regulating gene expression, offers a unique opportunity to specify potential targets for therapeutic interventions. Attempts at developing immunosuppressive drugs aimed at the major K+ channel are presented, as well as information on the role of ion channels in cellular interaction and apoptosis. This volume will prove an indispensable compendium for all those doing research in physiology, molecular biology and the biophysics of ion channels or lymphocyte function, as well as for immunologists.
