A Karger 'Publishing Highlights 1890–2015' title Hermann Oppenheim was the leading German neurologist of his times. His pioneering textbook for doctors and students on neurological diseases was tremendously successful and so influential it was long considered the neurologists' bible. Translated into English, Russian, Italian and Spanish, his monumental work continued to be published until 1923, when the 7th and final edition, four year after his death, was released.
