This volume contains four essays by Lennart Håkanson written between 1976 and 1982 that were never published because of his death. Håkanson offers a general presentation of the argumenta in the Pseudo-Quintilian Declamationes maiores, investigates their most important literary models (Cicero, Seneca, Declamationes minores), and explores the history of their transmission.
