"Medieval Narratology" attempts for the first time to systematically bundle and advance research on the otherness´ of narrative in the Middle Ages. Of particular interest is how narrative forms are invariably linked to the meaning of the narrated content. The main topics of interest include genre, narrative patterns, references to contemporary world knowledge, models of time and space, plot linkage, and narrator concepts. This reference work is primarily intended for medievalists and advanced students.
