The Dictionary of German Literature is one of the best-known and most comprehensive and reliable works of reference on German literature. It spans a period from the Early Middle Ages to most recent times. Vol. 30 includes articles on Peter Weiss, Franz Werfel, Zacharias Werner and Johann Karl Wezel. The notion of 'literature' is defined very broadly, so the work contains not only authors from the classic genres, but also representatives from other fields.
