Clinically, bacterial conjunctivitis is characterized by purulent ocular discharge, eye crusting or sticky eyes on awakening, foreign body sensation, and conjunctival injection. There are also many tropical infections and disorders that can induce conjunctivitis and those problems are called tropical conjunctivitis.
