In this book, the authors present current research in the study of the causes, management and prognosis of hallucinations. Topics discussed include the role of metacognitive dispositions for psychological models of hallucinations; visual hallucinations in Parkinsonian syndromes; the causal mechanisms which underlie lucid hallucinations; the effect of group cognitive behavior therapy for patients with auditory hallucinations in psychotic disorders; current neurocognitive theories and management of auditory verbal hallucination; and a summary of the concept of hallucination and its clinical implications in daily clinical practice.
