内容简介

Psychology of policy-making has arguably become one of the most popular areas in research across different disciplines since the last century. While particular attention has been paid to the rationale, process and outcome of policy-making in various academic studies, it seems that little research has been done in a more ‘global’ perspective, including aspects of climate change, educational reform and legal transformation. This book starts with a discussion of a landmark law which protected the rights of indigenous peoples in the Philippines. It is followed by a chapter considering the cost, timing and probability of future climate consequences. In Chapter Three, we switch our focus back to the legal issues related to jury nullification. Finally, in the last three chapters, we examine the educational issues concerning the Medium of Instruction, role models of teacher and disabled students in the context of Hong Kong. With such a broad and comprehensive structure, the insightful findings in this book contribute to the scholarship of different academic disciplines, such as educational, legal and environmental research.
