In this book, the authors present current research in the study of the psychology of judgment. Topics discussed include the neuroanatomical basis and consequences for cognitive competence and risk-taking behaviors in adolescents; patients' judgment of health risk when their personal time differs from their physicians' time horizon; the theoretical and empirical commonalities of the theory of mind and moral judgment; and body image judgments with regard to self-esteem and eating disorders.
