We usually think that "thinking" is objective, abstractive, logical and systematic. Besides thinking about things in Western mode, though, we also think concretely, intersubjectively, historically and coherently in story-form. Chinese thinking enters deep into "here now" to make sense, to sense what is going on since yester-years. Story-thinking comprehensively expresses their webs of history, which is an "open system" of no system that keeps growing in time. The West thinks alphabetically, i.e., digitally and analytically; China expresses thinking in ideogram-audiograms holistically to metaphor in time and space. This book elucidates Chinese thinking that makes sense of what goes on, sensitive to depths of sense of the concrete.
