Ornamental plants play important roles in society, religion and science. A wealth of species are considered to be ornamental plants, and this makes this group of plants an increasingly important group as model plants for a range of physiological, biochemical, genetic and biotechnological studies. This book presents current research from across the globe in the study of ornamental plant types and their cultivation. Included herein are such topics as aquarium plant diversity; ornamental plants in constructed wetlands; strategies to control architecture and flowering in azaleas; and transgenic ornamental plants.
