Concerted, international efforts to tackle the imminent threat posed by climate change are vitally important. In A Closer Look at Climate Change, referring to a philosophy of science called critical realism, the authors explain why evaluating climate change adaptation interventions is challenging. Critical realism has been utilized in various social science disciplines such as economics, sociology, geography and ecology. Next, the top five prospects for biochar promotion using Akha Chula are discussed. Akha Chula produces high heat and renewable energy without smoking and is environmentally friendly, ensuring long term soil fertility and better crop yield. In the following study, the authors aim to investigate how local communities cope with a variety of stresses in rural Zimbabwe. In semiarid regions, water scarcity is a prevalent stressor. Due to climate change, it is predicted that rainfall in Zimbabwe will become more uncertain in the future, exposing more people to water insecurity.
