The modern world imposes serious environmental challenges to chemists in reducing the human impact on nature. In this respect, organic reactions conducted in microwave conditions offer a ‘green chemistry’ method, which significantly enhances reaction efficiency, reduces the energy consumption, as well as the use of the toxic organic solvents. This new book demonstrates the importance of the use of microwave technique in organic synthesis, in particular its application to cycloaddition reactions. In addition, this book offers a comprehensive overview of literature from the early accounts in the field of microwave assisted cycloadditions.
