内容简介

Abstract During the past few years, considerable progress has been made in understanding how plants protect themselves against oxidative stress. Genes encoding plant antioxidant enzymes have been cloned and characterized. Overproduction of superoxide dismutases and glutathione reductase has been shown to confer increased tolerance to oxidative stress. Several lines of evidence have revealed an important role for hydrogen peroxide in stress-induced signalling.
