Getting married is a subject in which every one is interested; and this interest does not pass away with the years. The oldest people will take the liveliest interest in a marriage. Yet the value and meaning of marriage are very little considered. There is no step pertaining to our earthly life more solemn or fraught with a deeper meaning, and yet there is no step which is taken so thoughtlessly and with so little consideration of what is involved. The novels, so widely read in these last days, to a great extent cause this, by filling the minds of the young with foolish notions of marriage and of life.
