Appendix B contains, printed in extenso, the depositions, concerning murders and robberies committed in the County Sligo, 1641 — 2. In Appendix C are extracts from the Down Survey, together with examples of Petitions and Schedules, pre sented to the Commissioners for putting into execution the Act of Settlement, as also of the certificates granted to adventurers and soldiers. Appendix D is a précis of the various re grants to proprietors of the County Sligo during the reign of Charles II. Appendix G contains a short narrative of those missionary tours of St. Patrick which are supposed to have occurred within the bounds of the present County Sligo. The extracts are from the Tripartite Life of Patrick, as translated by Whitley Stokes; and, according to that authority, the date of the compilation is of the 11th century. Although mixed up with much that is incredible, these stories may, nevertheless, rest on a substratum of fact.
