The fight of which a detailed account is given in the following Narra tive, is famous in our early history, on account of the daring and bravery of Capt. Lovewell and his company; the disparity of numbers engaged on the two sides, and the important results of the Fight. After the death of paugus the Indians withdrew from their head-quarters at Pequawket, and a general peace soon ensued.
