On the division's arrival in France he was placed in temporary command of the Third Army Corps. Later he was given charge of the Eighty-ninth Divi sion, made up of the National Army men organized at Camp Funston, Kansas. He was with this division through the Argonne. Major General Wright is a West Pointer. He was graduated from the Military Academy in 1882. He was a brigadier general when the war broke out.
