Ballads of Battle

This is an excellent reprint, retaining all the features of the original work - well printed, clear illustrations and superb content. Joe Lee covers a huge amount of material in this volume and the background information makes the soldier side of the anthology all the more poignant. Sometimes reprints are a poor substitute for the real thing. Not in this case. Ballads of Battle stands along side the works of Rupert Brooke and Wilfred Owen.
