Opportunity of following my progress through all its stages, of which the few secondary and higher schools already launched on the voyage have as yet only tra versed the first. They will bear in mind that the idea underlying the conception and construction of my whole system is that the education of to — morrow must, before all else, teach children to know themselves, to measure their intellectual and physical capacities by judicious comparison with the efforts of their predecessors, and to submit them to exercises enabling them to utilise their powers, to attain due balance, and thereby to adapt themselves to the necessities of their individual and collective existence.
