So far as possible the cases related have been treated aseptic ally, and without unnecessary multiplication of instruments, for if the practitioner gets the idea that he cannot Operate without someone's Special bobbin, clamp, or suture needle, he may postpone operation, and the patient in all probability lose his life. Prompt operation must follow on diagnosis, and there is usually no time for the removal of the patient to a surgical home if more than an hour or two will be lost by doing so.
