Cri ticism was levelled at the necessarily brief and bald abstract he had given of what I may venture to call our joint opinion I thought it only proper, in justice to him, that the theory as a whole should be put in evidence for the jury of experts to examine and decide upon. I don't for a moment suppose they will take the trouble to look into it at all: but at any rate I have now discharged my duty — liberavz ammam meam — the evidence is here, and who will may con sider it.
