The. Frontispiece is from a painting by the late T. J. Richardson, the great Alaska artist. Mr. Wm. Dickinson gives us an accurate description of the so-called Seattle totem. Mr. T. J. Pennel has transcribed and furnished har monies to several of the native folk songs. Miss K. Pritchette has furnished two illustrations for the indian myths, and several more illustrations from photo graphs have been added. The totem features may be gleaned from the table of contents.
