Shed — The opening made in the warp for the passage of the shuttle containing the weft. Textile. — Woven, or capable of being woven; formed by weaving. Warp — The threads which are extended lengthwise in the 'loom and crossed by the filling or weft; sometimes called the chain, or ends. Weft — The woof or filling of a fabric; the threads that cross the warp from selvage to selvage.
